| Dr. David L. Snyder A California licensed optometrist, Dr. David L. Snyder is the chief curator of the PROP SPECS collection. He maintains the eyewear and provides custom lenses and fitting services. Dr. Snyder is an expert in eyewear history and offers consulting services that add a look of authenticity to the productions. He can also provide on-set eye care services including eye examinations. Beginning with his apprenticeship in the late 1960's under Dr. William Rohrer, 'Optometrist to the Stars', Dr. Snyder has been studying and collecting period eyewear. He has traveled throughout the United States acquiring eyewear of all types and periods. Dr. Snyder also has agents throughout Europe and the Far East who search out fine quality antique eyewear to add to this collection. Dr. Snyder attended UCLA and graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry, then located on the USC campus. He has been an Optometrist for thirty years and has been practicing in Alhambra, California since 1972. Dr. Snyder and his wife, Phyllis, reside in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles. |
